Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Onsite HR Manager in Salem, OR to oversee the full employee lifecycle for ~175 employees across multiple facilities. You will lead employee relations, payroll through ADP, leave programs, safety partnerships, and compliance while reporting to the HR Director.

You will work as a department of one onsite, with travel between facilities and collaboration with operations leadership. This role emphasizes hands-on HR leadership in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required or strongly preferred.
• Progressive HR experience in Oregon manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Oregon employment laws and application in daily HR decisions.
• Hands-on employee relations with investigations, coaching and actions.
• Recruiting and onboarding including posting, screening and orientation.
• Experience administering leave programs and compliance.
• Payroll processing and coordination with finance.
• Ability to work independently as a department of one.
• Clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfort working on production floors in manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onsite HR for Salem operations and serve as primary HR resource.
• Manage full employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, coaching, and policy administration.
• Process weekly payroll through ADP with accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer leave programs with tracking and documentation.
• Coordinate workers compensation claims and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with Oregon employment laws and policies.
• Support OSHA reporting and safety program initiatives.
• Facilitate training compliance and monthly safety programs.
• Conduct onboarding and new hire orientation for newcomers.
• Post jobs, screen applicants, and support staffing needs.
• Partner with operations to improve accountability and engagement.
• Provide guidance on performance and conflict resolution.
• Operate as onsite HR lead, collaborating with multiple locations.
• Drive continuous HR process improvements and documentation.
