Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an onsite Human Resources Manager for our Greenfield, Indiana site. You will lead local HR activities, foster a conflict-free workplace, and align HR initiatives with site goals. Expect standard hours 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.

You will partner with facility leadership to drive employee relations, recruitment support, and compliance across exempt and non-exempt staff. Strong HRIS knowledge and DEI experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Education or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft; UltiPro, Kronos).
• Advanced knowledge of EEO, Compensation and Benefits, FMLA, FLSA, Labor Relations, health and safety.
• Experience implementing/supporting DEI programs.
• Solid investigation and conflict-resolution experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR partner for the facility, managing local HR activities for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct HR functions to maintain a conflict-free workplace and enhance job satisfaction.
• Occasional after-hours work to support operations and events.
• Drive employee relations, and partner with management on HR matters.
• Support recruitment and selection with Talent Acquisition; manage the temporary workforce vendor.
• Track staffing, turnover, attendance, compensation, and promotions.
