AM General seeks an experienced HR professional to manage onboarding for salaried staff at IN locations and remote sites, oversee badges, I-9s, and background checks, and coordinate HR records. The role drives employee engagement, conducts training development, and ensures policy compliance within a manufacturing environment.

The position requires 5 years in HR, HRIS experience (UKG/UltiPro/Kronos), and strong communication skills. Travel to multiple local sites is expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or organizational management preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of current experience in a Human Resources role in a professional organization or corporate environment required.
• 3+ years’ experience with an HRIS system – UKG, UltiPro or Kronos preferred.
• Working knowledge of social networks such as LinkedIn and/or job posting sites.
• Experience in full lifecycle recruiting.
• Performs work under minimal supervision, handling complex issues and problems.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, and video conferencing technology.
• Must be able to handle extremely confidential information and display a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist and provide a direct overview with creating training and developing training content.
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

• Onboard salaried hires at IN locations and remote as needed.
• Manage employee badge system and I-9 verifications.
• Backup on review background checks and drug screening; coordinate with manager & candidate for pre-employment verifications.
• Coordinate with HR support staff to process and maintain employment, attendance, and other records.
• Research and recommend new activities for employee engagement.
• Use internal social networks to drive workforce engagement.
• Coordinate HR events and updates to the salaried employee engagement calendar (Service Awards, Sgt. Smith Awards, New-hire luncheons).
• Release internal communications of non-benefits & non-recruiting information for salaried personnel.
• Assist with coordinating site Internship Program with Talent Acquisition Specialist.
• Maintain employee records and assist with pre-employment RFP folders.
• Input all employee data in HRIS for salaried personnel (promotions, changes, terminations).
• Manage site unemployment notices; work with HR Manager to determine.
• Maintain HRIS Onboarding system; update or suggest changes as needed.
• Execute termination and exit interviews as needed.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors; refer sensitive matters as needed.
• Conduct employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Ability to travel and support multiple local sites on a scheduled basis.
• Work with HR Manager to handle salaried discipline per company policies.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices.
• Ensure compliance with AM General policies and all employment laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
