Job summary

Quanex, Cambridge, OH, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide proactive HR support across multiple locations. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee training, regulatory compliance, and serve as a trusted resource for managers and staff. Travel up to 20% is required.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PHR/HRCI certification is preferred. A fast-paced, multi-site environment experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of education.
• PHR/HRCI Certification preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site business environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment process and onboarding for new hires (in-person and online using Teams).
• Assist with employee training and develop initiatives including research, organizing and conducting training programs.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• Back-up HR Coordinator as needed.
