Job summary

The Jor-Mac Company Inc in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for our Oshkosh facility. You will work with employees, supervisors, and leaders to provide practical, employee-focused HR support.

This role requires a seasoned HR professional who can coach leaders, support recruiting and onboarding, administer programs, and ensure consistent application of practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Prior experience supporting employees and supervisors in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar operational environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated employee relations experience, including performance management, corrective action, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR practices.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, HRIS systems, and general HR operations.
• Experience working with an HRIS/payroll platform such as ADP Workforce Now is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leaders at the Oshkosh facility.
• Build positive, credible relationships with employees, supervisors, and management while maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to employee questions and concerns and work toward timely, practical resolutions.
• Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, attendance, workplace conduct, and policy application.
• Review employee relations situations, gather facts, and elevate high-risk matters when appropriate.
