The role emphasizes benefits administration, payroll review, recruiting, employee relations, and training, with periodic off-shift coverage and a strong emphasis on compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years HR, payroll, benefits or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws; willingness to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Manufacturing or multi-shift environment experience preferred but not required.
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required.
• 100% onsite in a manufacturing facility environment.
• Ability to provide regular HR presence across shifts in a 24/5 operation.

Responsibilities

• Support employees and managers with HR questions, concerns, and guidance.
• Administer benefits, onboarding, open enrollment, leave processes, and exit procedures.
• Review bi-weekly payroll for accuracy and consistency.
• Support recruiting efforts including candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Coordinate and facilitate HR training programs including OSHA, harassment prevention, and policy education.
• Process HR and payroll changes, including job changes, compensation updates, and profit-sharing administration.
• Partner with managers to identify workforce development and training needs.
• Assist with safety, workers’ compensation, and incident documentation processes.
• Coordinate employee engagement and recognition activities.
• Maintain compliance with HR laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide HR presence and support across all shifts as needed.
