Job summary

JOR-MAC in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for the Oshkosh facility, partnering with employees, supervisors, and leaders to provide practical, employee-focused HR support.

This role will independently manage routine employee relations matters, coach leaders through workplace concerns, support recruiting and onboarding, administer HR programs and policies, and help ensure consistent application of company practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Prior experience supporting employees and supervisors in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar operational environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated employee relations experience, including performance management, corrective action, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leaders at the Oshkosh facility.
• Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, attendance, workplace conduct, and application of company policies.
• Review employee relations situations, gather relevant facts, recommend appropriate next steps, and elevate complex or high‑risk matters when appropriate.
• Support corrective action and performance management processes, including documentation and preparation for employee conversations.
• Promote consistent application of company policies, practices, and employment decisions.
• Partner with leadership to identify solutions that balance employee needs, company policy, operational requirements, and business objectives.
• Assist employees and leaders with leave‑of‑absence processes, including FMLA and other company leave programs, in coordination with HR leadership and benefit administrators.
• Maintain accurate employee documentation and HR records.
