Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company seeks an HR Business Partner to lead strategic and day-to-day HR operations for the Miami Branch, expanding to New Orleans. The role covers employee relations, performance management, onboarding, recruitment, and engagement, with a focus on coaching leaders and driving organizational change.

This role is office-based five days a week in Miami. The ideal candidate brings strong employee relations and performance management experience, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SHPR, or PHR certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and coaching to managers on people-related matters including onboarding and orientation, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, change management, rewards and recognition, career progression.
• Partner with department leaders to resolve employee relations and performance issues, including counseling best practices and progressive discipline.
• Conduct investigations and manage documentation, escalation, and communication timely and professional.
• Facilitate annual performance management to ensure timely completion and identify training needs.
• Ensure office structure supports growth and operational effectiveness; conduct exit interviews.
• Support organizational change management initiatives and deployment of HR initiatives at the branch.
• Develop relationships with branch management to communicate and implement change initiatives.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisitions to communication with applicants and hiring managers.
• Forecast staffing needs and build a qualified candidate pipeline.
