Job summary

Stefanini Group is seeking an HR Assistant to support the Plant Manager and HR team in Batesville, IN on-site. The role covers onboarding, employee records, benefit and payroll inquiries, and policy clarification in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will process HR forms, conduct new-hire orientations, generate reports via HRIS such as COBRA and headcount, and maintain confidentiality while providing excellent service to employees and internal customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years HR/Admin experience required.
• Experience with Workday preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent organization skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and takes initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptionally strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint & Strong Excel required).
• Demonstrate ability to always maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Processes HR forms such as new-hire, change-of-status, evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
• Conducts new-hire orientations.
• May prepare reports such as insurance, COBRA, OSHA, and headcount using the HRIS.
• Provides general HR support to the HR Department.
• Maintains employee information confidentiality.
