Job summary

Independent Stave Company in Rickman, Tennessee is seeking an HR Assistant. This entry‑level role is ideal for a recent graduate with a Human Resources or related business degree.

You will assist with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and other employee‑centric tasks to support our growth. This on‑site position offers full acclimation to HR processes, HRIS fundamentals (UKG a plus), reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or two plus years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of HR principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to human resources.
• Knowledge of HRIS and Benefits Administration systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multifaceted projects and day-to-day activities.
• Ability to analyze data and problem-solve.
• Teamwork and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or assist with all aspects of recruiting and onboarding processes.
• Assist with HR Systems administration; UKG experience is a plus.
• Prepare various HR-related reporting.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and answer benefits questions.
• Support leave of absence management (FMLA, ADA, disability, WC).
• Assist with Wellness program enrollment and inquiries.
• Coordinate site events and internal communications; promote volunteering.
• Manage documents, revisions, and records; ensure compliance.
• Support KPIs defined in the goal tree and perform other duties as assigned.
