Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an HR Consultant to manage complex HR and employee relations matters with a primary focus on Shoreview, MN. This hybrid role supports multiple sites with two to three days on-site weekly and reports to the Senior Manager, HR Operations.

You will act as the onsite HR presence, guide leaders, investigate workplace issues, and drive consistent policy interpretation across the Americas. Travel within the US is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years HR experience, typically 8+, in a manufacturing or field services environment.
• Experience handling employee relations concerns, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Experience working in or supporting a multisite or sharedservices HR model.
• Ability to travel within the US.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary HR presence in Shoreview with authority to make daytoday HR decisions, guide leaders, and resolve issues.
• Maintain high visibility across the site to build trust, identify new concerns, and address workplace dynamics before escalation.
• Partner with site leadership to address workforce challenges, support operational goals, and ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of policies.
• Influence leadership decisionmaking through credible, experiencebased recommendations.
• Work with leaders to strengthen their understanding of HR processes, workplace expectations, and application of policies,
• Be the HR advisor for employee relations matters, providing independent guidance on corrective actions, performance issues, policy interpretation, and workplace conduct.
• Lead workplace investigations with autonomy, determining scope, interviewing involved parties, documenting findings, and recommending outcomes.
• Build productive relationships with team members to resolve issues promptly.
• Be the knowledgeable contact for government agencies or outside counsel on matters requiring HR expertise.
