Job summary

Way Finders in Springfield, MA is hiring a full-time Housing Case Manager to work onsite with families in shelter, assessing needs and guiding them toward stable housing and access to resources. You will coordinate referrals, document progress, and support enrollment in entitlement programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with partners, timely paperwork, and proactive problem-solving. Bilingual English/Spanish is appreciated; a valid driver’s license and CORI/SORI checks are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years' equivalent experience in housing/social services; combination of experience plus an Associate degree may substitute.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are appreciated but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems; strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Housing Case Managers work with families in shelter, typically meet in-person weekly and document progress.
• Coordinate referrals for medical, housing, and entitlement program supports and ensure timely enrollment.
• Develop housing plans, monitor progress, and maintain case notes in databases/systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to remove rehousing barriers and ensure stability.
