Job summary

Referentia seeks an Accountant/Payroll Coordinator to manage accounts payable/receivable, billing, and payroll in Honolulu, HI. The role supports timekeeping, contract compliance, and tax reporting while serving as the payroll and accounting contact for employees.

The position requires onsite work in Honolulu and emphasizes accuracy, GAAP/DCAA compliance, and strong communication across departments. Experience with DoD contracting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• At least 5 years of general accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
• Desirable: DoD government accounting and DCAA exposure.
• Experience with Ceridian HRIS and payroll software desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract billing and monthly reports, ensure timely invoice submission.
• Monitor and resolve accounts receivable delinquencies.
• Process vendor invoices and payments; maintain AP files.
• Process semi-monthly payroll and ensure accurate timekeeping.
• Distribute payroll under Ceridian; update employee data and run reports.
