Job summary

HFS Company seeks a Construction Manager for Kerrville VAMC EHRM upgrades. This onsite role supports pre-construction through close-out across Kerrville VAMC and CBOCs, reporting to the Task Order Site Lead. Expect 40+ hours weekly with an anticipated two-year assignment.

The role requires a four-year degree in a related field and 3+ years of healthcare construction management experience, familiar with codes, VA guidelines, and safety standards. OSHA training and VA security screening apply.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in architecture, engineering, construction tech, or CM with 3+ years PM experience.
• Healthcare construction experience and knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret A/E plans, specs, and contracts; manage permits and reports.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Construction: track access, reviews, and phasing to fit hospital ops and EHRM needs.
• Construction Coordination: coordinate with COR, VA, A/E, GC and testing teams; monitor field activity.
• Schedule & Budget: track schedules, costs, change orders, and cost estimates.
• Quality & Testing: inspect work, monitor testing, and ensure commissioning documentation.
• Close-Out: maintain records, finalize punch lists, and turnover as-built docs.
