Job summary

Planate Management Group, a global provider of planning, design and construction management services, seeks a Construction Manager to support EHRM infrastructure upgrades at Kerrville VAMC. You will oversee on-site construction activities, coordinate stakeholders, monitor schedules, budgets, quality and safety, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management, or a related four-year college curriculum, with at least 3 years of relevant construction management experience.
• Candidates without a college degree may substitute the education requirement with 10 years of relevant construction management experience.
• Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects, preferably within VA medical facilities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction schedules, milestones, project progress, and critical activities to identify and address potential delays
• Coordinate pre-construction planning, construction phasing, stakeholder meetings, and site mobilization
• Review construction plans, submittals, RFIs, and proposed construction methods for constructability and compliance
• Monitor project budgets, cost estimates, expenditures, and construction contract changes
• Facilitate progress meetings, prepare project reports, maintain daily logs, and track outstanding issues
• Monitor construction quality, inspections, testing, commissioning, and compliance with safety requirements
• Coordinate with contractors, design teams, government representatives, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues
• Support project closeout, including punch lists, as-built records, warranties, and required documentation
