Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a Construction Manager to support EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at Kerrville VAMC. You will oversee construction activities, coordinate stakeholders, and monitor schedules, costs, quality, and safety to ensure contract compliance.

The role is contingent on contract award with an expected duration of 2 years. Preference for candidates with healthcare facility experience and strong coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management or related field with at least 3 years of relevant construction management experience.
• Candidates without a college degree may substitute with 10 years of relevant construction management experience.
• Experience on healthcare or hospital projects, preferably within VA facilities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction schedules, milestones, project progress, and critical activities to identify delays.
• Coordinate pre-construction planning, construction phasing, stakeholder meetings, and site mobilization.
• Review construction plans, submittals, RFIs, and proposed methods for constructability and compliance.
• Monitor budgets, cost estimates, expenditures, and contract changes.
• Facilitate progress meetings, prepare reports, maintain daily logs, and track outstanding issues.
• Monitor construction quality and safety compliance, including inspections and testing.
• Coordinate with contractors, design teams, government representatives, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists, as-builts, warranties, and required documentation.
