Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Onsite Waste Coordinator to oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling within a petrochemical/refinery environment. You will act as the primary liaison among plant operations, transportation teams, and disposal vendors, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient waste management across projects, shutdowns, and routine operations.

The role requires knowledge of EPA/DOT/RCRA regulations, proper labeling, BOL documentation, and the ability to maintain

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience in waste disposal.
• Forklift certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and state/local environmental agencies.
• Labeling, marking, placarding, and container management of all waste streams.
• Coordinate collection, consolidation, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Prepare hazardous waste manifests and BOL documentation.
• Maintain audit-ready logs of waste generation, storage times, and disposal records.
• Train site personnel on proper waste handling and emergency procedures.
