Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Onsite Waste Coordinator to oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in a petrochemical/refinery setting. You will serve as the central liaison between plant operations, transportation teams, and disposal vendors to ensure safe, compliant waste management during shutdowns and routine operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EPA, DOT, and state/local environmental regula­tions.
• Familiarity with manifests, LDRs, and waste profiling.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Effective communication with operations teams and vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift experience and safety awareness are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT and state/local agencies.
• Manage accumulation areas, labeling, and container management.
• Coordinate collection, storage, and cradle-to-grave waste documentation.
• Support audits, safety training, and waste minimization initiatives.
