Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Chemical Processing Operator I to handle, package, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. You will collaborate with TSDF Technicians in warehouses, plants, and outdoor environments to ensure safe operations.

The role requires knowledge of DOT/EPA/OSHA regulations, ability to wear PPE, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Ability to wear and safely use all levels of PPE.
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background screening.
• Experience in hazardous waste classification and lab pack segregation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle, classify, segregate, label and package hazardous and non-hazardous materials per regulations.
• Prepare shipping documents and coordinate transportation of chemical products and hazardous waste.
• Create inventories, QA/QC and waste tracking documents.
• Mentor new hires on SOPs and provide initial training.
• Foster adherence to final disposition facility protocols.
