Job summary

General Motors in New Carlisle, IN, seeks a Senior Manager of Supply Chain to lead the internal logistics team for material availability at the Synergy Cells facility. You’ll supervise both direct and indirect staff, drive development, and partner across functions to align with business goals.

The role emphasizes staff leadership, process improvement, and collaboration with suppliers and customers to achieve performance targets. Domestic/international travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or another business-related field.
• 7+ years in supply chain or manufacturing, with work measurement and work standards.
• 3 years Launch experience.
• 3 years contract management experience.
• 3 years managing documents for dangerous goods.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and lean material processes (Purchasing, Logistics, Receiving, Internal Material Flow, Scrap, Obsolescence).
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience or management of contract teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for delivering supply chain objectives for the facility.
• Provide leadership within the Supply Chain to meet or exceed objectives across customer, quality, service, and financial initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers and suppliers to understand needs and perceptions.
• Staff, train, and develop the team; remove roadblocks and prioritize work.
• Interact with multi-functional teams to meet targets and drive CIP initiatives.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally as required.
