Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Global Supply Chain Shift Leader to oversee safety, material flow, and people development on a manufacturing shift. You will drive improvements, coach leaders, and ensure effective handoffs to maintain production plans.

The role requires leading a team in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and cost considerations, including shift rotations and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and material flow on shift.
• Set and execute priorities for safety, staffing, and cost.
• Own GSC performance and continuous improvement for assigned elements.
• Coach Group Leaders and Team Leaders to deliver results.
• Drive manufacturing optimization and material-flow improvements.
• Respond to disruptions and material constraints with swift action.
• Use data to identify risk and drive accountability.
• Ensure clear communication across shifts and leadership levels.
