Job summary

General Motors is seeking a on-site leader in Flint to drive the Global Supply Chain team. You will lead, coach and develop staff, manage performance, and optimize the organizational structure to support vehicle production goals.

The role requires deep understanding of supply chain functions, strong leadership, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers. Relocation benefits may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Global Supply Chain processes and material flow.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain manufacturing, warehouse operations, logistics and/or materials.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make timely decisions during off-shift operations.
• Ability to work the assigned shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with internal teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives.
• Guides one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
• Communicates with all levels of the organization within the function and with suppliers.
• Supports relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.
• Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop creative solutions.
• Summarizes critical issues with resolutions and communicates to leadership.
