General Motors LLC is seeking a Supply Chain Operations professional to address short-term capacity issues, coordinate with suppliers, and drive resolutions to production disruptions. The role requires extensive travel to suppliers and collaboration across manufacturing, engineering and purchasing teams.

The candidate will analyze supplier performance, implement corrective actions, and lead efforts to reduce lead times while maintaining strong communication with GM facilities and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in supply chain, manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or purchasing.
• Ability to travel spontaneously 70-80% domestically/Internationally at Suppliers.
• Proficient level of computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office products, Teamcenter Visualization).

Responsabilités

• Act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and provide support.
• Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Containerization, Logistics and GM assembly/manufacturing plants to facilitate critical supply issues and business transfers.
• Determine the cause of supplier delivery problems and coordinate/implement effective resolutions.
• Help assess and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions for critical issues.
• Improve delivery performance of suppliers by identifying process improvements and lead time reduction opportunities.
