Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an onsite Location Manager in Mitchell, SD to oversee all aspects of the location including sales, operations, inventory, and staffing. You will lead daily activities, drive profit, and ensure safety and policy compliance while coordinating with various departments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and several years of managerial experience in the building materials industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
• Four years of related managerial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have prior experience in building materials industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the location's sales (professional and retail), operations, delivery, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Manages daily operations and reports from the Online system.
• Develops and implements inventory control programs to meet target levels and turns.
• Involves recruiting, hiring, and training; helps establish staffing measures to reduce turnover.
• Motivates staff, maintains a productive workforce, and oversees wage/salary decisions.
• Recommends capital improvements and maintains cost-effective equipment and facilities.
• Supports safety initiatives to ensure OSHA and DOT compliance and safe operations.
• Enforces company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements in daily activities.
