Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a location manager for our Mitchell, SD site. This onsite role oversees all aspects of location sales, operations, production, delivery, purchasing, and inventory control, with relocation support for the ideal candidate.

You will lead daily operations, implement inventory programs, and drive staffing, training, and performance. Prior building materials experience is required, along with a four-year degree and managerial background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Four years related managerial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have prior experience in building materials industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall sales (professional and retail), operations, production, delivery, purchasing, and inventory control of the location.
• Manage daily location operations and leverage the Online system for reporting.
• Develop and implement inventory control programs to meet location inventory levels and turns.
• Recruit, hire, and train staff; reduce turnover and improve profits.
• Motivate and develop staff; approve wage increases and set performance objectives.
• Recommend capital improvements to meet forecasted demand and efficiency goals.
