Job summary

BFS, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Location Manager for our Mitchell, SD operation. You will lead sales, operations, and inventory control, drive staffing, and implement improvements.

You will oversee budgeting, reporting, safety compliance, and capital planning, while fostering a productive, compliant workplace. A strong background in building materials and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Four years related managerial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have prior experience in building materials industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales, operations, production, delivery, purchasing, and inventory control of the location.
• Oversee the daily operations of the location and manage reporting from the Online system.
• Develop and implement inventory control programs to meet inventory targets and turns.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training; establish staffing measures to reduce turnover and boost profits.
• Motivate staff, manage wages, set objectives and performance measures.
• Recommend capital improvements and initiate cost-effective maintenance programs.
• Support OSHA and DOT safety compliance and enforce company policies.
• Maintain budget accountability and assist with standard costs and operating budgets.
• Other duties as assigned.
