Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, seeks a seasoned location-based manager to oversee production, sales, operations, delivery, purchasing, inventory control, customer service, HR and safety. This role reports to the General Manager and is pivotal in achieving location goals.

You will plan and direct these functions, supervise staff, assist with recruitment and budgeting, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and eight (8) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership and budgeting abilities; knowledgeable about managing a multi-function location.

Responsibilities

• Assumes location responsibility in the absence of the General Manager and keeps leadership informed on initiatives and schedules.
• Provides direction to management and employees to meet location objectives and goals.
• Assists General Manager in recruiting, hiring, promoting, training and terminating employees.
• Assists in budget preparation, operating costs, and annual reporting; monitors invoices and approves accounts payable as assigned.
• Recommends and creates operating policies and procedures; assists with inventory and expense control.
• Oversees safety and loss prevention programs; ensures compliance with safety procedures.
• Supervises staff including selection, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
