Job summary

Plug Power Inc in Indiana is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support fuel cell products used in electric lift trucks, performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns at a designated location. This role requires strong technical and communication skills to interact with customer personnel and operators on site.

The technician will report breakdown events, order parts, and maintain fuel cells at the customer site, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications preferred.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment and parts for customer service and support.
