Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) seeks a Forensic Mental Health Clinician for Northern State Prison in Newark, NJ. The clinician conducts specialized testing and assesses inmates’ clinical needs, reporting to the Clinician Supervisor. Office is on-site with day shifts and full-time hours.

Qualifications include a Ph.D./Psy.D./Ed.D. in Psychology and NJ licensure or unrestricted permit, plus a valid driver’s license for site travel.

Formación

• Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. in Psychology with relevant experience that includes training in psychological testing.
• Two years’ experience in a behavioral health care or related setting.

Responsabilidades

• Arrives at DSM diagnoses with precision and accuracy through psychological testing and evaluation sessions.
• Provides crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy and psycho-education programming.
• Manages caseload with attention to care quality and security needs.
• Assumes case management and coordinates treatment with community agencies; maintains inmate records.
• Demonstrates competency in psychological testing and understanding inmates’ and seniors’ needs.
