Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) seeks a Forensic Mental Health Clinician to work at Northern State Prison in Newark, NJ. You will conduct specialized psychological testing, assessments of clinical needs for adult inmates, and provide crisis intervention and psychotherapeutic services.

The role reports to the Clinician Supervisor and requires collaboration with corrections staff to ensure safe, effective care. Applicants should hold a Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. in Psychology with relevant testing experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in behavioral health or related setting.

Aufgaben

• Arrive at DSM diagnoses with precision through testing and evaluation.
• Provide crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and psycho-education.
• Manage caseload while maintaining quality of care and security.
• Coordinate treatment and liaise with community agencies; maintain records.
• Demonstrate competency in testing and understanding adult inmate needs.
