Job summary

Ruan in Texas is seeking a on-site Fleet Supervisor to directly manage a team of truck drivers in Laredo, with daily coordination to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient freight movement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business/Transportation or similar, 3-5 years of supervisory experience in transportation, and strong proficiency with Excel and dispatch systems. You will maintain strong customer relationships and ensure DOT/EPA compliance as part of a hands-on operations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in transportation or similar environment.
• Experience leading a transportation team including drivers and office staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of drivers; recruit, train, coach, and reward performance.
• Direct and schedule drivers, plan loads while avoiding hours of service violations.
• Organize daily delivery plans and coordinate resources for efficient operations.
• Resolve delivery/scheduling issues through timely communication with customers and drivers.
• Handle payroll, billing, and post-accident reviews; use transportation management systems for data capture.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and all regulations; promote safety.
