Job summary

Vallen is seeking an Onsite Service Technician I in the Vallen Safety Services group. You will perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis, including Fire Extinguishers, Gas Detectors, Respiratory Equipment, and Fall Protection gear.

Role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least one certification, and 1+ year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum 1 certification (manufacturer/state).
• Minimum 1 year related experience.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to repair and service safety equipment.
• Experience in inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service calls.
• Identify equipment discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports.
• Perform inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of life safety equipment (fires, hoses, gas detectors, respirators, fall protection, shower/eyewash).
• Document testing/repair work for invoicing and provide customers with required copies of documentation.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, SOPs).
• Assist in warehouse tasks and equipment handling as needed.
