Job summary

Vallen USA seeks an Onsite Service Technician I focused on Instrument, Fire and Respiratory safety equipment for the Vallen Safety Services group in Houston. You will perform inspections, testing, maintenance and repairs on life safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, at least one certification, and a minimum of one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Minimum 1 Certification (manufacturer/state).
• Minimum 1-year related experience.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience in Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Repair of Safety Equipment.
• Current Motor Vehicle License with good driving record.
• Commercial Driver's License required if carrying loads of hazardous materials.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Able to read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Conducting service calls.
• Identifying equipment discrepancies.
• Preparing accurate and timely Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports.
• Providing customer service in the area of Inspecting, Testing, Maintenance and Repairs of Life Safety Equipment.
• Responsible for providing the testing and repair documentation and ensuring it is filled out accurately, completely and turned in for proper invoicing.
• Responsible for ensuring the customer has all required copies of all required documentation upon servicing equipment.
