Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in San Jose, CA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver expert repair services and ensure uptime for critical vacuum systems. You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, installations, and on-site service, reporting to the Site Manager and coordinating with customers to meet schedules.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of relevant technical experience, a High School Diploma (AS degree preferred), and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; an AS degree preferred.
• AS degree or military equivalent may substitute for education.
• 1–3 years of equivalent technical field experience with customer-facing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Site Manager and perform planned and ad-hoc visits to service systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and prevent equipment downtime; document all activities.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and advise on improvements.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and timely customer support.
