Nikon SLM Solutions is a leader in metal additive manufacturing technology. We seek an on-site service engineer to install, troubleshoot, and commission systems, train operators, and coordinate with customers on status and timing.

The role requires a BS in a relevant field, hands-on skills, and willingness to travel. You will work with our team to ensure efficient operation of laser PBF machines and related automation in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, electrical/electronic, or automation tech or equivalent.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with industrial equipment.
• Computer hardware/software setup experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience with 3D printing tech, preferably metal laser PBF.
• Experience with automation systems in manufacturing plants; CAD software experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally if required.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support for Nikon SLM Solutions installed machines for electrical, mechanical, cooling, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure successful installation and start-up.
• Teach and train customer personnel on level 1 system use.
• Attend meetings with customers to discuss installation or repair status and timing.
• Communicate installation/repair status frequently to customer and Service Manager.
• Work closely with Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
