Job summary

Nikon SLM Solutions in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support for metal additive manufacturing systems. You will install, start up, troubleshoot, and service equipment, working closely with customers to maximize uptime and performance.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, ability to read schematics, CAD familiarity, and willingness to travel internationally if requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Automation Technology or equivalent experience.
• Practical hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with industrial equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and CAD software experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for installed machines for electrical, mechanical, cooling, and gas systems.
• Install, start-up, and service Nikon SLM Solutions equipment.
• Train customer personnel on level 1 system use and interface with customers regularly.
• Attend meetings with customers to discuss installation or repair status and timing.
• Communicate installation or repair status to the customer and Service Manager; work with Service Manager to ensure excellence.
