Job summary

Cognizant in Detroit seeks a Field Services engineer with 4-7 years of onsite desktop support across office and factory environments. You will handle break/fix and deployments for laptops, rugged devices, printers, scanners, and conference room A/V.

You will manage incidents via ITSM, monitor queues, perform RCA for major incidents, and create SOPs/runbooks. Use SCCM, IT Shop, and Nexthink for endpoint visibility, applying Windows troubleshooting and basic networking to restore services quickly.

Qualifications

4-7 years of onsite desktop support in office and factory environments.
Experience supporting laptops/desktops, rugged devices, printers, handheld scanners, and conference room A/V.
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on onsite support for laptops, desktops, rugged devices, printers, scanners, and conference room A/V systems.
Monitor ticket queues and assign tickets through ITSM tools.
Perform incident management and RCA for major incidents.
Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
Use SCCM, IT Shop, and Nexthink for endpoint visibility and support efficiency.
Apply Windows troubleshooting and basic networking to restore services quickly.
