Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a hands-on Project Manager who will lead projects from award through closeout, doing substantial field work with crews on job sites. You will oversee safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction, while actively engaging in field operations and problem-solving.

The role requires strong planning, leadership, and communication skills, with a background in engineering plans/specs, and ability to travel as needed to manage field leadership across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or sufficient experience.
• Experience meeting essential duties listed above.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Planning and leadership skills demonstrated in project environments.
• Knowledge of engineering plans and specs; basic math/geometry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve project management team efficiency.
• Participate in site visits, proposals, and contract reviews to clarify scope and risk.
• Guide project from sales through development to execution; maintain communication with sales reps.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors, and others during design and planning.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedule, identify critical path and risks, and communicate status regularly.
