Job summary
Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a project manager who will lead projects from award through closeout with a strong field presence. You will spend significant time on job sites, solving problems in real time, and staying close to the work. The role requires coordinating crews, schedules, and budgets while ensuring client satisfaction and safety. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
PMP certification is preferred.
Experience leading field teams on heavy-civil projects.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.
Responsibilities
Oversee and evaluate the project management team's performance and process improvements.
Attend customer site visits, and contribute to proposal and contract development/reviews.
Lead projects from sales through development into execution; document scope, schedule and budget changes.
Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors and field crews to plan and execute work.
Develop and maintain project schedules, highlight critical paths, and anticipate schedule risks; manage budget and quality and safety indicators.
Regularly communicate project status across stakeholders, including risk assessments and financial updates.
Travel as needed and manage field leadership to ensure on-site success.
