Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging in Mobile, AL seeks a Project Manager to lead projects from award through closeout, combining field leadership with coordination of safety, schedule and budget. This hands-on, field-driven role requires spending significant time on job sites with crews to solve problems in real time.

You will work closely with customers, engineers and suppliers, develop schedules, track progress, and communicate project status across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or sufficient experience in a related field.
• PMP certification preferred and project management knowledge.
• Experience managing field projects in heavy construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of project management team improving efficiency.
• Participate in site visits, proposals, and contract reviews to understand scope and risk.
• Lead project from sales through development to execution and document changes.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors and suppliers during design and planning.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedule, identify critical path issues and propose solutions.
• Regularly communicate project status including schedule, budget, risk and quality.
• Coordinate work crews and equipment, travel as needed, and manage field leadership.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or sufficient experience

PMP certification preferred
