Job summary

Empower AI is seeking a Field Support Technician - Onsite Anchor to act as the on-site IT decision-maker for DoW agency locations. The role requires travel within the region, STIG-based workstation deployment, and coordination with remote teams to resolve issues involving desktops, mobiles, printers, and networks. The position is onsite in Andover, MA with up to 25% travel.

A U.S. citizenship, active clearance, and DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I certification are required, with potential TS/SCI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with related experience; substitutions allowed as in the posting.
U.S. Citizenship.
Active Secret Clearance; eligibility for TS/SCI if required.
DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience in desktop support, field service, help desk, or IT hardware installation.
Proficient with Windows 10/11, basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN).

Responsibilities

Serve as on-site IT decision-maker for regional and field locations, handling escalated incidents.
Determine if issues can be resolved locally or require remote support, coordinating accordingly.
Plan deployment/refresh for site workstations using STIG-compliant images.
Address printer, VoIP, VTC, and conferencing equipment, coordinating vendor/engineering support.
Oversee mobile device onboarding and MDM enrollment within policy.
Review site asset records, identify discrepancies, and recommend refresh or disposition actions.
Confirm resolutions with customers and document procedures for reuse.
Assess site conditions and security posture; report findings to remote teams.
