Job summary

Manson Construction Co. seeks a Project Engineer to support our marine construction projects in the Southeast region. You will work with field engineers, project engineers, and managers to review drawings, track progress, and ensure quality and safety standards are met on site.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, strong teamwork, and hands-on problem-solving skills. The work is field-oriented with travel between job sites and our Jacksonville

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline preferred; equivalent combinations of technical training and relevant experience will be considered.
• 0–2 years of construction experience.
• Marine, structures, heavy lifts, or concrete construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions, learn and adjust to new technologies, and effectively collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review work activities and participate in creating JSAs.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements for quality and contract compliance.
• Maintain, document, and distribute up-to-date plans and specifications to required parties.
• Keep accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress tracking logs.
• Prepare daily documentation including reports, photographic records, and timecards.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and supplies and inspect documents and materials on arrival.
• Plan field layout with field crews and project team; contribute to 5-week schedule development.
• Prepare contract-required submittals and review vendor/subcontractor submittals before transmission to Client.
• Participate in safety audits and develop knowledge of safety procedures (OSHA, EMS-385).
• Uphold Code of Ethics, federal contractor obligations, and union agreements; maintain documentation and reporting standards.
• Promote an Incident and Injury Free work environment.
