Job summary

Manson Construction Co. seeks a civil/engineering project professional to join its Project Management Team, supporting various jobsite locations across the southeast United States.

You will provide onsite engineering and technical support, quality control, and construction management assistance, with travel to Gulf Coast and East region sites. The role requires a civil/ocean engineering background, FE/EIT preferred, and dredging/marine experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or Construction Management from a four-year college or university is required.
• FE exam and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• Marine Construction or Dredging Industry experience preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software - HCSS & Primavera, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hydrographic and Beach/Land surveying for construction management purposes.
• Technical support for equipment computer systems.
• Development of project work element plans and JSAs.
• Coordinate project definable features of work with Manson superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors.
• Critical path scheduling and 3 week look ahead scheduling.
• Review designs, drawings, and engineering data prepared by Manson consultants and vendors for conformance with project plans and specifications, and identify associated conflicts.
• Investigation and research for needed permanent and consumable material items, equipment, and tools.
• Inspection of newly delivered permanent materials for conformance with project requirements.
