Job summary

Manson Construction Co. offers a field engineering role supporting project management across multiple Bay Area locations, with a main office in Northern California.

You will review drawings, help prepare submittals, coordinate material deliveries, and assist in developing schedules while maintaining compliance with safety standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or construction management background with hands‑on problem solving and a collaborative approach

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review work activities and create JSAs.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Maintain and distribute up‑to‑date plans and specifications to management, crews, vendors and subcontractors.
• Keep accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress logs.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and subcontractor submittals; assist in schedule development.
• Plan field layout with field crews and assist in developing a 5‑week schedule.
• Support safety audits and ensure compliance with OSHA and EMS‑385 requirements.
