Job summary

Manson Construction Co. in Richmond, CA, is seeking an entry to early-career Project Engineer to support marine construction projects across the Bay Area.

You will review drawings, manage field documentation, and help coordinate schedules with crews and subcontractors. The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, 0–2 years of experience, and proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD and Bluebeam are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalents considered.
• 0-2 years of construction experience.
• Marine/structures/heavy lifts/concrete construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Ability to analyze issues and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review work activities and create JSAs.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, design specs, and material requirements for quality and contract compliance.
• Maintain and distribute up-to-date plans and specifications to management, crews, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Keep accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress logs.
• Prepare daily documentation including reports, photos, and timecards.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and supplies and inspect arriving documents/materials.
• Assist in scheduling between crews and subcontractors and develop the 5-week lookahead schedule.
• Plan field layout in coordination with field crews and project team.
