Job summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking an entry‑level Project Engineer to join our Project Management Team in the Seattle region.

You will provide onsite engineering support, help manage quality, and assist with field coordination across multiple marine construction sites. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or construction background, hands‑on problem solving, and the ability to work with project engineers and managers to ensure safe, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent combos considered.
• 0–2 years of construction experience.
• Marine/structures/heavy lifts/concrete construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Ability to analyze issues and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review activities and create JSAs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and material requirements for quality and compliance.
• Maintain and distribute up-to-date plans, specs, and documentation.
• Keep accurate project documentation including daily reports and logs.
• Prepare daily reports, photos, and timecards.
• Coordinate materials delivery and inspect arriving documents.
• Plan field layout with field crews and project team.
• Prepare submittals and review vendor/subcontractor submittals.
• Participate in safety audits and basic safety knowledge (OSHA/EMS-385).
• Ensure compliance with Ethics, federal obligations, and union agreements; maintain reporting standards.
• Promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline
