Job summary
All Engineering Recruitment Solutions seeks a Field Service Controls Engineer to provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup assistance for industrial automation systems, Rockwell PLCs, and PowerFlex drives in customer manufacturing environments.
The role focuses on diagnosing PLC logic, configuring drives, maintaining HMI applications, and delivering clear field-service reports while traveling to client sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Electrical Technology, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- At least three years in industrial automation, field service, or equipment commissioning.
- Hands-on troubleshooting Rockwell Automation PLC systems (ControlLogix/CompactLogix).
- Experience with Studio 5000, Logix Designer, ladder logic, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Ability to travel to customer facilities as required.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite field service support for industrial automation systems and drives.
- Troubleshoot Rockwell platforms including Studio 5000 and Logix Designer.
- Diagnose PLC logic, I/O signals, interlocks, and alarms; support HMI applications.
- Configure and commission PowerFlex drives (525, 753, 755) and read schematics.
- Prepare field-service reports documenting diagnostics and corrective actions.
- Work independently in active manufacturing environments and follow safety standards.
