KPI Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineer to participate in electrical control design and commissioning. You will apply PLC/controls standards, assist with hands‑on design and product development, and support customers while executing business strategy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of controls field installation/commissioning experience and familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, GE, and Square D systems. Travel is expected up to 60% to support projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering or trade school equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering.
• 1-2 years controls field installation/commissioning.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and communicating updates.
• Knowledge of designing/commissioning/troubleshooting controls systems (Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Square D, etc.).
• Knowledge of industrial controls networks (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet).
• 60% travel.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines, wear PPE and stay safety‑driven.
• Follow standards set forth by KPI Solutions.
• Understand project schedules and scope of work.
• Understand project requirements, specifications, and equipment functionality.
• Contribute to the team and adapt to change.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Controls Manager.
• Complete defined tests from KPI testing documents and check sheets.
• Communicate with customers during testing.
• Ensure quality of field installations.
• All other tasks as directed by management.
