Job summary

Cognify Global seeks a Controls Engineer with strong Rockwell Automation experience to design and support industrial automation and control systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell software platforms, and industrial networks to implement reliable and efficient automation solutions while contributing to FAT/SAT and site commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Strong experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
• Proficiency in FactoryTalk View (SE/ME) and EtherNet/IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems using Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Program and configure Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
• Design and configure HMI applications using FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
• Integrate SCADA systems and industrial networks.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot PLC logic, HMIs, drives, and field devices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Job description

We are looking for a Controls Engineer with strong Rockwell Automation experience to design, develop, and support industrial automation and control systems. The successful candidate will work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell software platforms, and industrial networks to implement reliable and efficient automation solutions.

This role includes system design, PLC programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems using Rockwell Automation platforms.
• Program and configure Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
• Design and configure HMI applications using FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
• Integrate SCADA systems and industrial networks.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and commissioning of control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC logic, HMIs, drives, and field devices.
• Configure and maintain Rockwell PowerFlex drives and motion systems.
• Work with industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and ControlNet.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control narratives, I/O lists, and electrical schematics.
• Support production teams with automation troubleshooting and system improvements.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Strong experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
• Proficiency in:
• FactoryTalk View (SE/ME)
• Experience with industrial networking (EtherNet/IP).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rockwell Motion Control and Kinetix drives.
• Knowledge of PowerFlex VFDs.
• Familiarity with safety PLCs (GuardLogix).
• Experience with robot integration or automated production lines.
• Understanding of control theory and PID loops.
• Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning.
