Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager in Cedar Rapids to oversee building operations for a portfolio of facilities. You will lead a team on-site, manage budgets, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of facilities management experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferably FM certification. Travel to other Iowa sites is expected, with regular on-site responsibilities five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of relevant facilities or operations management experience.
• Valid driver's license required; FM certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, vendor management, and safety compliance skills.
• Excellent organizational and mathematical skills for financials.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, including coaching, performance evaluations, and hiring.
• Schedule and manage daily team activities, set schedules, and train staff.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections and suggest operational improvements.
• Oversee environmental health and safety procedures.
• Review quotes and manage procurement for parts and labor.
• Lead training on maintenance, repairs, and safety practices.
• Lead by example aligning with CBRE RISE values.
• Identify and troubleshoot day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
